Our emphasis is on the community of believers as we follow Christ. We believe that God loved his world so much that he came into it, in the form of his son Jesus Christ, to rescue and redeem broken humanity. Jesus came and died on a cross, and there absorbed all of the evil and sin that humanity had to offer. This cross is an altar, and it is because of this altar that God invites us to gather at his table of fellowship. Each week we take communion, the Lord’s Supper, or whatever you would like to call it, in order to remember, celebrate, and proclaim the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
What is more, this table is the way we like to think of our community and family at Hunter Hills. Table is a metaphor for community throughout the New Testament, and we like to think of our weekly gathering as a table. God has welcomed us and shown us hospitality when he invites us to his table, and we in turn welcome and show hospitality to the world around us. Therefore, there is always room at our table at Hunter Hills for others. Welcome to the table.
It’s hard to get to know a church based on its website. Below are just a few of the ways that will help you get to know us a little better. We invite you to come and meet our growing family and experience what Jesus is doing right here in Prattville.
